Group therapy is a great way to learn and experience things. It’s not the same thing as self-help or support. It’s a way of realizing the comfort that you’re not alone. It’s a way of seeing how others apply skills in their lives. It’s a way of inspiring others and being inspired by others.
I run two different groups, off and on. Each lasts 20 weeks (about 5 months).
Generally, people pay for one month at a time ($220). If you pay for all 20 weeks of group at once, I give a discount of 15% (that’s $165 off the total $1,100 for the entire 20-week group).
DBT skills group is more of a class and not much of a traditional “process group” (where you do a lot of talking about yourself and sharing and confronting).
Self-Compassion group is also a bit more like DBT class, but there is more sharing.
